The original Gite was extended and now provides a four bedroom, four bathroom gite (including a ground floor wet room), for up to eight guests with fully equipped kitchen, terrace and garden with lawn and mature trees. This area of the house was formally used for the production of the wine from the vineyards bordering the property, and has a total area of approximately 110 square metres. The main salon in the gite is enhanced with wooden stairs leading up to a "minstrels gallery" with wonderful exposed beams. The gallery in turn leads to each of the four bedrooms. French doors from the open plan downstairs area lead onto a terraced area. There is a large oak dining table which can seat 8 people, together with a separate seating area, with a variety of country antique furnishings. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, hob and oven, washing machine, microwave. |

Three bedrooms have double beds, and one is a twin bedded room, however arrangements can be made to offer flexibility if preferred. The view from two of the bedrooms is across the lawn to the vineyards, where often small deer can be seen, as well as a wide variety of bird life. The other two bedrooms look down to the valley and stream which meanders its way down to the Dropt River, just a kilometre away.
Evening eating is a delight as Le Chai faces west and is in a excellent position to take advantage of the late setting sun with alfresco dining and BBQ's. Both gites are centrally heated. A welcome pack is provided on arrival to include locally produced wine, and tea, coffee and other essentials. Both gites also have TV/DVD and radio CD players available to guests Bed linen and towels are provided (excluding pool/beach towels). Unfortunately we cannot cater for pets and please note that smoking is not permitted within the gites.
